We are currently hiring on behalf of our client, a global technology company developing networking products used by millions of users worldwide.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on testing of hardware products and network technologies. You will be responsible for validating routers, gateways, displays, cables, and related networking equipment from an end-user perspective. The position is primarily focused on manual testing rather than test automation.
The most important requirement is a solid understanding of computer networking and how network devices operate in real-world environments. You will work closely with development teams, helping to identify issues, reproduce problems, validate fixes, and ensure products deliver a reliable user experience before release.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform manual testing of networking products, particularly gateways and routers
- Validate core device functionality, configuration workflows, and user experience
- Test hardware components including routers, gateways, displays, and network cabling
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing scenarios
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot networking-related issues
- Verify WAN connectivity, VPN functionality, DHCP configuration, routing, security features, and network protocols
- Reproduce customer-reported issues and validate bug fixes
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to improve product quality
- Document findings and create clear bug reports
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- Experience in manual software or hardware testing
- Strong networking knowledge:
- Routers and gateways
- DHCP, DNS
- WAN/LAN
- VPN technologies
- Network security concepts
- TCP/IP and common networking protocols
- Log analysis and troubleshooting
- Ability to think from an end-user perspective when testing products
- Experience working with Jira, TestRail, or similar tools is an advantage
- Basic Linux knowledge (SSH, command line) is a plus
- English is required; Czech language is not required
