Our client, an international technology company developing innovative connectivity and networking solutions, is looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join its Prague-based engineering team.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of scalable backend services and APIs used by a globally distributed user base. You will work in a modern environment focused on high-quality engineering, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while helping shape new features from design through production.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs
• Build integrations between software platforms and connected devices
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from feature design to testing and deployment
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Help develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience developing and delivering production-grade software systems
• Strong backend development experience using Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
• Experience working with PostgreSQL
• Ability to design clean, maintainable solutions and apply SOLID principles
• Experience building web applications and REST APIs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools as part of a modern engineering workflow
• Professional communication skills in English and Czech
