Join our cross-functional Business-IT team at the leading german bank! As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer you will be developing and maintaining the Profit&Loss reporting infrastructure (CPLM), which will replace our current P&L system (based on Sybase IQ). This is being built using Oracle 19c (Bare Metal Service on GCP) on the database tier, Java on the application tier, and Angular on the presentation tier.

All our systems are 100% in-house development mainly in Java & SQL DBs on LINUX and some running in Cloud – MS Azure or Google Cloud. We work in an agile development environment (BizDevOps). The project team works lean/agile with Kanban in short innovation cycles.

The Prague team working on this application is meant to consist of 4 developers, 2 business analysts, and 2-3 support colleagues. The team communication language is English.


  • development of a new Oracle based application in an agile environment
  • delivery of new functionality and functionalities that are provided by the legacy system
  • discussion of requirements, design, and testing issues with the business analysts
  • L3 support for the newly developed application


  • Oracle database skills: data modelling, PL/SQL and performance tuning
  • experience in developing applications in SQL and PL/SQL
  • knowledge of partitioning, compression, incremental statistics, parallel execution, multi-table inserts, materialized views and query rewrite, data lifecycle management, 3-NF, Star schema

Nice to have:

  • experience in Unix
  • knowledge of cloud technologies, especially Google Cloud Platform
  • experience working in Agile/Scrum development projects
  • Sybase DB knowledge
