For an innovative technology company we are searching for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong Python development skills who wants to work on complex systems where software meets networking and hardware.

You will build and evolve testing frameworks, influence architecture decisions, and ensure long‑term quality, scalability, and reliability of modern software platforms used globally.

No Czech language needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining a Python‑based automated testing framework
  • Migrating an existing testing framework to Python while preserving functionality and quality
  • Designing and investigating network‑related test scenarios
  • Analyzing behavior of modern network protocols and services
  • Improving test framework architecture with a focus on maintainability, extensibility, and performance
  • Collaborating closely with QA, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams
  • Reviewing code and providing feedback to ensure clean, scalable, and high‑quality solutions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven, hands‑on experience with Python development
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, modular design, and clean code principles
  • Experience in software testing and strong background in computer networking
  • Familiarity with networking, embedded systems, or hardware‑related testing
  • Solid knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting
  • Ability to work in a cross‑functional environment (QA, DevOps, Development)
  • Proactive, self‑driven mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Nice to have
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (custom or open‑source)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally Jenkins
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (KVM, Proxmox, similar)
  • Knowledge of PHP or experience with PHP‑based testing frameworks
  • Experience working with large or long‑living codebases
