We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to take ownership of testing activities for a business-critical back-office platform supporting payment card transaction processing, clearing, ATM operations, and merchant settlement. This is an opportunity to work on a highly stable, large-scale system that plays a key role in the payments ecosystem while driving quality initiatives and testing strategy across complex business and technical domains.

In this role, you will lead testing efforts for new functionality, system enhancements, and regulatory or card-scheme-driven changes. You will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, business stakeholders, customers, and external partners to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality solutions. The position combines hands-on testing expertise, leadership responsibilities, and the opportunity to influence testing processes, automation initiatives, and quality standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities for new functionality, system enhancements, and upgrades.
• Define testing approaches based on business and technical requirements, including specifications from major card associations and payment industry standards.
• Work closely with development teams, analysts, and stakeholders to establish test scope, priorities, and quality objectives.
• Lead the preparation, review, and execution of regression, integration, performance, and certification testing scenarios.
• Own and continuously improve the test case repository, testing methodologies, and quality processes.
• Support the adoption of modern testing practices, automation frameworks, and process improvements.
• Coordinate certification and compliance testing activities required within the payments ecosystem.
• Facilitate integration testing with customers and external partners, ensuring smooth execution and issue resolution.
• Mentor testers, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to the ongoing development of testing capabilities across the organization.
• Collaborate with international teams on testing initiatives, quality standards, and best practices.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• At least 5 years of experience in software testing, including experience in a Senior Tester or Test Lead capacity.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test planning, defect management, and quality assurance practices.
• Experience defining testing standards, quality criteria, and governance processes.
• Ability to translate complex business or technical requirements into structured test scenarios and testing strategies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other testers.

• Experience in the banking, payments, acquiring, issuing, fintech, or card transaction processing sector.
• Knowledge of payment card transaction lifecycles, settlement, clearing, authorization, or ATM processing.
• Experience with test automation, particularly using Robot Framework and Python.
• Familiarity with IBM i, system commands, and DB2 SQL.
• Previous exposure to certification testing and payment industry standards.
