Our client, a leading Data & AI consultancy and long-term Databricks partner, is looking for an experienced Lakehouse / Platform Architect to join their growing Architecture team.

This is not a traditional architecture role focused solely on implementation. You will help customers define their long-term data platform strategy, recommend technologies, establish governance frameworks, and design modern cloud environments ready for future growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lakehouse / Platform Architect, you will work directly with enterprise customers across Europe and help them design modern, scalable data platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing enterprise-grade Lakehouse architectures
• Defining cloud data platform strategies and architecture roadmaps
• Establishing data governance frameworks and standards
• Designing environments using Unity Catalog and federated governance principles
• Leading architecture discussions and technology decision-making
• Recommending and defending architectural approaches with customers
• Working closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Cloud Architects
• Defining security, scalability, and operational standards
• Driving FinOps initiatives and cloud cost optimization strategies
• Leading workshops and architecture sessions with business and technical stakeholders

This role goes beyond delivering requirements. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, propose the best solution, and act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We’re looking for an experienced architect or consultant with a strong background in modern cloud-based data platforms.

You should have experience with:
